First Saddam and now Bush. No matter what you say, incident that happened in Iraq will go down in history as the biggest form of insult ever suffered by an American President. Even though the shoe didn’t hit Bush, it does hit the American flag.
We all remember the images we saw on the TV when the staged removal of Saddam statue occured in Baghdad. People used shoes to beat up the statue, it is considered to be the ultimate insult in the Middle East.
It is interesting that a journalist was involved in this kind of act, not some random Iraqi but someone who has been involved with news and the print media. How pissed was this journalist? Or he was just trying to say “Farewell?”
