I finally got the chance to watch The Kindom. I think the reviews it got on Yahoo! Movies etc were not fair, Peter Berg did a very good job and the movie came very close to reality. I think what was missing from the movie was the other side of the story, there are always two sides to every story.
Lot of emphasis was put into showing the dark side, I guess because the plot demanded it but still, maybe a glimpse of other side would have been a good change from the usual…. All Arabs/Muslims are terrorists….
The entire movie was shot outside The Kingdom, mostly in Abu Dhabi and Arizona. I think this movie is one of a kind, no one has ever tried to attempt such a task.
I really liked the movie, the action sequences were perfect, the ending was amazing and all the actors did a great job. There is one more thing that I think I should mention here is that the movie sways away from making the point that Mission has been accomplished; no more fights. It instead, leaves the viewer with the scene that shows both the sides vowing to “Kill All” in this fight… with no end in sight…
